Folmads Mission

• Foster and promote excellence in the visual and performing arts programs in the Lexington Public Schools.
• Stimulate interest in and encourage broad participation in these programs by the students of the Lexington Public Schools at all levels.
• Solicit and raise funds from the general public and otherwise offer assistance and support for students’ curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities in the visual and performing arts.
• Provide volunteer opportunities for parents, students and community members to help foster and build community through Lexington Public School visual and performing arts performances and activities.
• Conduct other activities and programs in furtherance of the foregoing purposes.

The FOLMADS Board of Directors currently comprises parents and community volunteers whose efforts support the arts programs in the Lexington Public Schools.  We help organize volunteers at concerts, drama productions, and art shows, we help publicize upcoming events and news to the local and school media, and we fundraise to support LPS curricular programs. Get in touch

Board members, parent and student volunteers ran concessions in early 2024 for the Senior Districts festival held at LHS. It was a great way to help the community and raise money for the arts at the same time.
